Fee

We calculate our fees bases on hours worked. The amount of the fee depends on the person working on the case.

Every work step is listed in the invoice and described, as well as being recorded in time increments of 0.1 hours. All time spent in connection with a case is invoiced (e.g. for letters, legal statements, telephone calls, emails, travel to external appointments, court hearings, etc.). Clients can request information about the costs incurred at any time.

Disbursements

In addition to the fee, disbursements are payable plus VAT. Other costs such as travel expenses are invoiced normally.

Advances on costs

Due to their professional and ethical obligations, lawyers are generally required to request an advance on costs from their clients for their fee. The law firm Rhyner Rechtsanwälte Notare therefore regularly requests advances on costs.

Legal expenses insurance

The law firm Rhyner Rechtsanwälte Notare also works with legal expenses insurance companies. After we have ascertained following a meeting whether we can take on the case, you should notify the legal expenses insurance company immediately and personally, and clarify whether there is insurance coverage. The legal expenses insurer will then issue confirmation of coverage for individual stages (in the proceedings). You have no cost risk within the confirmation of coverage. Services in excess of the confirmation of coverage or not covered by the insurance policy must be paid for by the client.
